House Concerts
The Troubadour at Home house concert series finished.
It ended with an excellent concert by South for Winter
and a fun fantastic music party song circle that ended at 3:00 a.m.
Acts included Grover Kemble, Mike Agranoff, A Night with The Folk Project (Scott Rovner, Carrie cantor & Glen Coleman, Cliff Eberhardt with Louise Mosrie, Frank & Hank (Frank Sole and Henry Nerenberg, Robinson & Rohe, Abbie Gardner, and South for Winter.
The final financial figures will be tabulated for the September meeting.
Special thanks to Gary Pratt, Todd Dennison, Kathi Caccavale, John Hone, Bob McNally, Jean Scully, Dave Heistand, Joel Glassman, and Robin Schaffer for their many hours spent putting together some great, live concerts.
NJ Uke Fest
38 people registered, 12 openings left, for a max of 50.
The Friday concert will be streamed live: Jim Boggia’s Springsteen show on ukulele with Christine DeLeon opening.
Acoustic Getaway
Stony Point unavailable for Columbus Weekend.
We reserved Halloween Weekend, October 29-31
The contract is due August 15th with a deposit of $3,782.
The deposit is refundable if the State or FDA terminate the weekend.
Stony Point is likely to forward the deposit to next spring.
They would not put that in writing, but it is apparently their practice.
Our minimum payment for a fullfilled weekend is $12,106,
That’s about 53 guests at $230 apiece
The price includes three days, two nights and six meals
This would be a “Guestival,” our second.
Just guests, no hired performers, no workshops
Friday: Halloween styled Open Stage
Saturday: Like the Valentines show, open stage with bands
Sunday: Random pairs practice all weekend for finale show
Event Hosting - Jay Wilensky
Jay has determined there will be no Evening of Music in September
due to the Delta COVID virus.
In September he will decide whether to hold an October EoM.
