I have branched out a little this past month, found some much needed help. Olga Alavarez has agreed to help with writing publicity material for the Committee and FiL Wisneski has agreed to be the Special Concerts Web Guy on a trial basis.

28 reservations to the evening house concert
and 15 reservations for the afternoon workshop.
This is a combination of paid and unpaid reserved seats.
New Jersey Uke Fest 2017 - by Pam Robinson
Dates: Friday August 25 thru Sunday August 27, 2017
Location: Ukrainian American Cultural Center of New Jersey and the Morristown Green
Proposed Budget:
$ 7,600 - Performers( including performer room & board)
$ 3,000 - Rent
$ 2,000 - Misc Expenses
$12,600 - Total Proposed Budget
The rent will be increasing as we will have access to the larger concert hall which was unavailable in 2016 but will be needed for the concerts in 2017. Also, by having the larger hall we can offer Saturday, Workshop only, and Concert tickets earlier in the process.
The Committee is looking at ticket pricing and working to determine a fair ticket price increase. We are looking:
into the feasibility of a FP member rate.
offering an early-bird ticket that generates interest in the event but does not result in the majority of our tickets purchased at the lowest price available (in 2016 - 51 of 70 full fest tickets were purchased at the early bird rate which was $10 lower than our highest full fest ticket rate).
UkeTrivia:
I have had discussions with several FP Members about the Ukulele’s future as an genre of music that has staying power. I keep saying the Ukulele is here to stay. Check out the picture from the Free Library of Philadelphia’s FaceBook Page which was posted this week as an example of why I keep saying it.
