A good month. Quite satisfying considering summer is generally slow.
Average attendance was 105.7 paid for the 3 regular shows and 86.4 including the open stage and Birthday show. Profit of $213 for the month seems a bit low for that attendance. Rachel, did we have any unusual expenses this month? The Birthday Show was improved from last year with more performers.
Paid attendance was lower this year than last, but this year we were not as diligent in having the performers pay admission as last year. I think next year we will make that official, and say that admission is optional for performers. We are $2158 in the black over the past 12 months, and improvement of $1.00 over the previous 12 months.
This month I booked a bunch of opening acts for existing features:
Jean Scully & Rachel Steich to open for Toby Walker on Sept 16 Frank & Hank to open for Frank Vignola on Oct 28 Ex-Red Molly Carolann Solebello to open for Tracy Grammer on Nov. 4 Anthony DaCosta (now 20 years old) to open for Dala on Nov 11
I also secured another Phil Ochs Song Night on May 4, 2012
Highlight of upcoming August shows will be the Old Timers' Night on August 26. For my part in that show, I will be doing 100% material that I was performing in the mid -80-s.
