$ 7,000 - Performers

$ 2,000 - Misc Expenses
$13,000 - Total Proposed Budget
The rent will be increasing as we will have access to the larger concert hall which was unavailable in 2016 but will be needed for the concerts in 2017. Also, by having the larger hall we can offer Saturday, Workshop only, and Concert tickets earlier in the process.
The Committee is looking at ticket pricing and working to determine a fair ticket price increase. We are looking:
into the feasibility of a FP member rate.
offering an early-bird ticket that generates interest in the event but does not result in the majority of our tickets purchased at the lowest price available (in 2016 - 51 of 70 full fest tickets were purchased at the early bird rate which was $10 lower than our highest full fest ticket rate).
Since some of our attendees have non-ukulele playing spouses we are also looking into non-ukulele workshops. To make this option work the Committee is considering adding a 4th track of workshops or adding workshops on Sunday morning to the lineup. Workshops such as music theory, technique, instrument repair/care, and maybe even a hula dancing workshop.
