Morris Arts Grant

In the grant, a copy of which I’ve attached here, we said we’d use the funds:

The Folk Project plans to spend grant funds to support our general operations and in particular to help maintain

affordable admission prices. As with many other arts organizations we are feeling the squeeze between rising costs

and pressures to maintain affordable admission prices. With the assistance of a grant from Morris Arts we hope to be

able to maintain our existing admission prices.

See the section labeled “Ineligible Requests” (p3. in the attached file), which lists the things that can’t be funded by an Arts Grant. Grant funds cannot be used for administrative salaries, capital acquisitions, travel, sub-granting, or fundraising. With the exception of possible capital for Horses, we don’t have these expenses anyway, so realistically we’re not very restricted by these “restrictions.”
