Subject: Troubadour Booking Report: June 2019

A rather brief report of a rather brief Troubadour schedule for June, since we only had one show last month. David Roth drew a modest paid attendance of 81 (105 total attendance) for a modest profit of $81. Overall, the Troubadour is running at a very healthy $3,277 profit YTD, and $4,572 over the past 12 months.

The rollout of the Troubadour name went without incident. I’m sure we’ll all be inadvertently using the “M”-word for years to come, but we’ll forgive each other that transgression. The re-worked banner with the new name was ready in time, thanks to the work of Beth Wilson, who sewed the original. She removed the letters of the old name, covered the area of the old lettering with the same fabric as the background to hide the stitch holes, and then applied the new lettering, also from the original fabric that was used. So you really need to examine the piece with a magnifying glass to spot the rework. She requested, and the Project happily paid $250 for the job. Many thanks, Beth.

Next month’s report will be similarly brief, as we only have one regular show scheduled, plus the Birthday show. I’m having my perennial concerns about having enough member-performers signing up to perform in that show, particularly our more experienced players.
