Subject: Treasurer's Non Report
Greetings, folks –
I won’t have all the data loaded in advance of the meeting, so I’ll send out the real report in a day or two. This often happens when the meeting falls so soon after we close the books on the previous month. My feeling is that people would be better served by having one, as-accurate-as-possible report to review, rather than a preliminary and a final.
Good chance it will happen again in October, when the meeting falls October 1.
See you tonight, though.
Regards,
Chris

Subject: On the Other Hand
Greetings, folks –
Have had some family things come up and I’m probably not going to make tonight’s meeting, contrary to plan. Made good progress on loading financial data today though, with only the PayPal sweep left to work through. I’ll get the report out by EOD tomorrow. Everything is under control.
Today’s mail also bought three donation checks in memory of Steve Wexler. To date, we’ve gotten donations by check and by PayPal from 11 individuals, with a total value of $1,345. I’m replying to the electronic donors individually with a thank you email, and Evelyn Maurer will be covering the check donors with a thank you card of some kind. In another week or two, Evelyn will send Steve’s widow a card with the names of those who made contributions, as well as the total amount donated. Thanks to Gary for helping sort out the logistics of this process.
Sorry for my absence.
Regards,
Chris

Subject: Treasurer's Report
Greetings, folks –
We have about $21,250 in checking, another $37,200 in the Money Market, $280 in Petty Cash, $640 in advance Troubadour payments, a $1,000 deposit for Getaway and $500 in Mike’s pre-paid debit card. Plus $141,500 in the Vanguard fund. I sometimes think fondly of the days when we got by with a plain vanilla checking account.
The usual departmental P&L is attached. No particular commentary beyond that. Our support for the June Days event is in the FP General column. So there’s a chunk of money in Admissions which is washed to zero by the related expenses -- no financial impact on The Folk Project. Concerts is mostly NJ Uke Fest. Getaway includes both Spring and Fall events, as well as the two Getaway concerts that will be held at the Troubadour.
The Vanguard investment value is only updated quarterly, so that the $14,395 of income reflects the value as of June 30. I expect it will be higher next month.
Sorry I missed the meeting, and if you have questions let me know.
Regards,
Chris
