Our favorite Cablevision tech guy, Curtis, told us that Cablevision is being sold any day now. But the Public Access Coordinator approved dates in July and August so I think we're good for now. HSNOI has made it through all the previous transfers of ownership of the system since the 90's from Sammons Cable to TKR to Cablevision, so we hope to continue taping shows in their studio no matter what the name of the company is.
We taped two fine shows in June:
644) 6/8/16 Mindy Schmitt - brings heart and spirit into her songwriting, soft and sweet one minute, with punching guitar rhythms and vocals the next. Her folk-rock style hints of influences such as Melissa Ferrick and the Indigo Girls, yet with a distinctive sound all her own. From her pop-punk roots of the early 90’s when she started to play music, she has since picked up an acoustic guitar and softened her approach, but without losing the flavors of all the genres she has loved along the way. https://www.reverbnation.com/mindyschmitt.com
645) 6/8/16 Reggie Harris & Pat Wictor – Reggie is an accomplished writer and singer whose vast knowledge of the songs of human & civil rights has made him one of the top song-leaders in the tradition. Pat burst on the acoustic music scene as an innovative slide guitarist known for fresh interpretations of trad. & contemp. songs, acclaimed singer-songwriter and a sought-after collaborator. For these veteran musicians and friends, their artistry & skill is heightened by years of collaboration and trust www.kimandreggie.com ; www.patwictor.com

Taking up the harp in 1981, she toured for 10 years in duet and another 10 as a soloist.
