Special Concerts Report
We had a great show from The Rumpke Mountain boys and Dave Gans on Friday the 13th. Unfortunately, we were about 20 people short of break even with a net loss of $353.97.
The show was excellent however, and since it was the RMB’s first trip to the east coast, I expect they will have much better turnout in the future. The book signing/jam session on Saturday morning was extremely successful for everyone involved. David sold lost of books and the jams were tasty and fun. Thanks (again) to Mark and robin for opening their home, and especially to Mark for taking the reigns when I had to leave due to a death in the family (my Uncle died unexpectedly from a heart attack, and I had to go call my Mom with the news).
For the year, we end up in the black by $2,236.63, so we hit the G&A mark with some to spare. So… I think I’m pretty close to even over my tenure as SC chair. I’m sure Pam will do a much better job.
A huge thank you to all of the great volunteers we’ve had over the last few years. It goes without saying that The Folk Project would not exist without them. The Committee Chairs can only do so much, but it is the volunteers that actually make ideas into reality.
