Event Hosting

Hello all. I just returned home from the fantastic 2016 edition of the Folk Project July 4th Picnic. The weather held out beautifully for the lion's share of the event and there were only some light showers starting around 8:00 PM.

First and foremost thanks goes to Eddie and Aaron Roffman for the gift of their home for the day (Leila the dog too!) [Insert wild and appreciative applause here].

The heavy lifting award goes to Bob Cole for the carload of outdoor equipment (chairs and canopies) as well as the paper products he donated. [The loudest "woo hoo" we can muster goes here.]

It also takes a lot of people to make an event like this run smoothly. From shifts on the grill to helping with setup, breakdown and general

willingness to pitch in, gratitude is a-plenty for the following generous folkies: Greg More, Mike Del Vecchio, Barbara (last name unknown), Lindsey Meyer, Deborah Graham, Paul and Gloria Fisher, Jim Gartner, Wendy Keilin, Nancy Beyer, Todd (last name unknown), Bill Stoever, Margaret Crowl, Art Tamborino, Vicki Lederman, Diane Perry, Evelyn McNally, Jeff Loy,

Elizabeth Lachowitz, Thomas Lachowitz and Tom Taylor. [May I be forced to listen to a banjo being tuned for a full 24 hours if I forgot anyone!]

What's the cost of the most fun you can have with 90 friends? The final bill for the food and supplies was $224.35.

In other news ...

The June Evening of Music was hosted by Christine and Mike DelVecchio at Mario's Restaurant in Randolph and the July Evening of Music will be held at the Skillman home of Kathy Haynie.
