Webmaster Report – John Lamb
After several relatively busy months, the website rolled through April without requiring much
help from the webmasters. We responded to the usual requests for updating email
forwarders, tweaked the page for the Paxton concert a little and updated the administration
page to reflect a change in trustees. This was a much needed break for the team as we
have been busy of late. We will be working on requests from Mike (a minor change on the
Minstrel page), Pat (an addition to the performers page) and Scooter (some help with
publicity for the next special concert and the next UkeFest) in the coming week. As always,
thanks to team members Allan, Lori, Charles and Barbara. Please send questions,
comments and suggestions to webmaster@folkproject.org.

Report From “The Chair” – Paul Fisher
April has proven to be another month with lot's to do.
Our normal release was sent out with an extra section at the beginning about the Paxton concert and
40 years of The Minstrel. Jim King's monthly in-depth release on Maire Ni Chathasaigh and Chris
Newman was picked up in its entirety in the Independepent Press dated 4/29/15 under the headline
“Celtic harper and guitarist to perform at area church” (capitalization theirs, not mine). It appeared
in the Local News section for Morristown, right next to the obits. Thanks to Gloria Fisher for
scanning the local papers for Folk Project listings!
Publicity worked closely with Joe Crookston's publicist and the show was well attended.
We are working on a plan for special releases in May and June that will focus more on the
anniversary and Tom Paxton since we expect the concert to be pretty much sold out by June 1.
Mike Agranoff has put us in touch with Tom Paxton's publicist and we have provided outlet listings
and interview requests.
We are renewing our membership in the Morris County Tourism Bureau. Our listing and ad have
both appeared in the just-published guide which will be available at the Board meeting.
We are still investigating participating in other websites such as Fun New Jersey and
njskylands.com.
Nancy has produced and shared a flyer for the June 5 EastRiver Ensemble concert at The Minstrel
and has made a big effort to locate and develop niche outlets for Chinese arts.
Publicity is still seeking a new member to replace Cathy Ballard. The workload is not heavy and
usually only comes once per month around the 10th. If anyone knows of a good candidate, please
contact publicitychair@folkproject.org and Nancy and I will contact them.
