A so-so month in March, marked by a snow cancellation of a potentially high attendance night with Silk City. Average paid attendance for the two remaining regular shows was 79.5, which went down to 63.0 when including the Open Stage. Over the past 12 months those figures were 86.7 and 72.7 respectively, virtually unchanged from the numbers from March 2014 through February 2015. We showd a modest profit of $170 for the month and $1505 over the past 12 months.
We will be holding our Open Stage in the Terrace Room in April, as previously reported. Putting the food service in the same room, and not using the dining room will result in a substantial rent reduction from $319 to $138. This makes Open Stage a much more viable proposition from a financial standpoint, allowing us to continue this service to the musical community without incurring significant losses. MUF has agreed to our doing that on an ongoing basis starting with our new contract in July if we find it a workable proposition.
Tickets for the 40th Anniversary Concert with Tom Paxton will go on sale to the Folk Project's and Sanctuary's mailing lists on March 30, and publicity will b released to the general public on April 15. Thus far 48 of the almost 200 FP volunteers who have been invited bought tickets at the special $9 price , and also purchased 19 tickets for their guests at the regular $30 price. Capacity is 425.
