Mike Agranoff reported that a heavy wind dropped a tree limb on his backup generator. The covers were destroyed, but the generator still works.
Paul Fisher reported that he and Gloria took a trip down to Maryland and Washington DC to visit friends and their daughter and enjoyed good food and drink. After returning he contracted Type A Flu, but has since recovered.
Peggy Karr is unfortunately back on the Lyme medication, and while she also got sick, it was not Covid, and she recovered and can still get her Cataract surgery on schedule.
Sam Edelston reported that his daughter, Julie, just got a new, lighter-weight keyboard that she’ll be able to carry around to gigs. Also, he was happy that all three kids were home for Thanksgiving.
Mark Schaffer was happy to announce that his newest grandson, Asher, was one month old and living seven minutes away. Robin now disappears every day for a visit.
Gary Pratt reported that two weeks before Thanksgiving, Joyce reached out to his two brothers to see what their Thanksgiving plans were. One of his brothers had plans, but the other brother and his wife brought Thanksgiving dinner to Gary and Joyce, and the four of them had their first Thanksgiving dinner together since 2019.
Sandy Reilly extended her thanks and well wishes to Evelyn Maurer and her hopes that she regains her health.
Jean Scully reported that last month her son Von and his wife Gwen went to Spain and had a great time. On Thanksgiving, they went down to Gwen’s grandparents for a lovely dinner with her family, a total of 18 people.
Pamela Zave and her wife Yolanda had a lovely Thanksgiving dinner with Chris and Judy Riemer and Judy’s daughter Emily and a number of Folk Project members. She thought it was just wonderful. She also got to see Rhiannon Giddens at Carnegie Hall on her birthday.
Tina Ross reported that she had a great Thanksgiving with her family. She also was looking forward to being on WDCB Chicago radio.
Jo Sippie-Gora noted that she enjoyed listening to everyone. She added that she has been coming to FP on and off for over 20 years. She also got to see Rhiannon Giddens as artist-in-residence at Montclair State, who she “discovered” at the Outpost over 15 years ago. Recently she started volunteering at FP on Friday nights.
Elizabeth Lachowicz is in Chicago with her family, and had a Thanksgiving dinner with 24 participants that she enjoyed. She also enjoyed 5 days in Cabos, San Lucas which she thought was absolutely fantastic, and spoiling her for anything less then 5 stars. Her hotel suite was bigger than her condo. She also waxed eloquently about the amenities, food and facilities.
