A good month in October, but not as good as I had hoped. (I was looking for full houses every night, based upon the quality of the shows.) We had an average attendance of 78.5 for the month and 96.7 over the past 12 months for regular shows. We ran $76 in the red for the month, due in large part to a clerical error on my part that cost us about $230. I'll report on that more fully at the meeting. We're still $2420 in the black year to date.
I have still heard nothing about the additional custodial fee that the Fellowship was contemplating, and will take no action until they contact me.
It was nice to see Dan and Noah Rauchwerk, the teenage brothers who comprise the Lords of Liechtenstein, that opened for Cliff Eberhardt in August show up at the Festival.
I've been keeping records of performers' merchandise sales since February. Thus far, the feature act has averaged $408 in sales, and the openers $101.
Bookings made since last month:
March 18: Fiddler Lissa Schneckenburger to do a CD release concert.
May 13: David Mallet returns. (Author of "The Garden Song" ["Inch by inch, row by row, Gonna make this garden grow.] and "The Ballad of St.
Anne's Reel" that Connor Dugan & I do.) Note that this booking is on our traditional Festival weekend. The word I hear is that Star Lake is not available on that weekend.
Also 90% sure of having Anne Hills on May 6 and Susan Werner on May 20.
Highlights of November schedule:
JazzMasters of the Folk Project on Thanksgiving Friday
