SWINGIN' TERN

The Swingin' Tern Committee Report for April 2:

We had one dance (March 16) since the last board meeting. On the good side, the band Crossing the Millstone and the caller Mark Widmer were excellent and the new dancers received a good introduction to contra dancing. However, our dance was the same day as Glenside's outstanding Medley Marathon dance, so there was a loss of $168.

For the first time Swingin Tern is holding an afternoon/evening dance, and it will be on April 6. Perpetual e-Motion and Bob Isaacs will perform from 4-6 PM for experienced dancers and from 8-11 PM for all dancers.

This is the result of many people's efforts. Suzanne Patnaude orchestrated the events; Xander Kastan organized the volunteers; Doug Heacock posted many promotional videos and designed special flyers; and Joel Remde distributed notices and flyers to attract experienced dancers As usual, our many volunteers are doing the work needed for this special day for Swingin' Tern.
