Special Concerts Report

Hi Everyone,

We had a great kick-off meeting on January 16. In attendance were:

Sandie Reilly, Bobbie Rosengarten, Ellen Schwartz, Geri Silk, Jeff Saxton, Pam Robinson, Rick Thomas

We determined our primary roles and how the committee will operate.

It was determined that Sandie will continue serving as our Scheduler and Booker; Jim, Jeff and Ellen will focus on publicity: Howie will administer the contracts and serve as the overall coordinator for our events. All of the committee members will play significant roles in running our events.

We are currently working on a house concert at Mark and Robin's house on April 28. The performer is Keith Murphy. We are working on setting up guitar work shop that will focus on playing in the alternate guitar tuning DADGAD. The workshop will be followed by a pot-luck supper. From there we will have the concert with a later night Evening of Music. Our thanks to Mark and Robin for initiating this event!

We are also evaluating other performers to approach for concerts later this year.
