He quickly made a name for himself in the Long Island, New York music scene, has since recorded two CDs of his original tunes, and is now performing often, as a solo act and also with his band. 647) 7/20/16 Laurie Riley - best known worldwide as a harpist, having toured and taught for over 20 years. Her music career began, however, as a multi-instrumentalist, playing guitar, dulcimer, banjo, bodhran; founded The Folk Project in 1971, toured w/ Frostwater in 70s. Taking up the harp in 1981, she toured for 10 years in duet and another 10 as a soloist. Aideen O’Donnell - harpist and singer, studied in her native Ireland at the Sion Hill School with renowned Irish harpist Mairin Ni She (Ferriter) and received operatic voice training at the Royal Irish Academy of Music. Coming to USA she completed her B.A. in Music at the College of St. Elizabeth. Dublin born, she is two-time winner of the O’Carolan International Harp & Voice Competition at Keadue, Ireland and winner of the All Ireland Harp Competition at Granard, Ireland.
