WEBMASTER REPORT - JOHN LAMB:
It has been a busy month for the website team. We helped the Festival crew by updating that section of the website to reflect the upcoming slate of performers for the Spring Festival and to activate the link to the registration forms. We helped Minstrel by updating the HTML-based Tally Sheet form used by staff in accounting for the money collected and disbursed on Friday nights. The job of sending out monthly eNewsletter notifications and keeping track of those who should receive such notifications has been transitioned to our new Membership Chair, Eddie Roffman (who had turned the job over to me when he became president a while back). We fixed a few typos noted by our sharp-eyed Publicity Chair. We owe a couple of minor updates to Swingin' Tern that I hope to have done by the time the board meeting occurs. We continue to evaluate suggestions and requests made by Mike Agranoff concerning the design of various pages on the site and will respond as we are able. As always, many thanks to team members Lori Falco and Allan Kugel. Keep sending those questions, comments and suggestions to webmaster@folkproject.org.
FACEBOOK REPORT - PAM ROBINSON:
Nothing to report this month.
PUBLICITY REPORT - NANCY KELNER:
A fairly quiet month since my last report.Jan. 19th Swingin’ Tern was listed as one of the Top Ten in Morris County Tourism Bureau’s email blast of Jan. 9th. This goes to more than 5000 people.
Sent a list of radio stations to Mandeville and Richards at their request.
Both January Swingin’ Terns were listed in the January issue of NJ Family magazine, Morris County edition.Scott Sheldon told me that the RUNA Minstrel was printed in the Jan. 20th issue of the NY Times.Arts Council of the Morris Area is changing its name to Morris Arts; this spring is its 40th anniversary. All February Minstrels and Swingin’ Terns are on the NJ Family website calendar.Natural Awakenings (north central NJ) lists Minstrel and Swingin’ Tern every month as ongoing events; emailed them to ask they change Minstrel admission to $8; they said they’d change it in the March issue; will keep an eye out for it.
All February Minstrels are listed in the Bucks County Folk Song Society newsletter for February.
Attended the Feb. 1 Minstrel and was excited to see an almost full house and at least 10 first-timers. Like to think our publicity efforts had something to do with that. <bg>
