Special Concerts Report

June 7, 2011

In May Special Concerts presented two workshops, Songwriting workshop with Anne Hills on May 7th and a Vocal Improv workshop with Martin Swinger on May 14th.

Both workshops were artistically a success. The Songwriting workshop resulted in a very small profit and unfortunately the Vocal Improv resulted in bit of a loss. (total loss about $100) Overall the committee belives the events were a success as we are trying to provide a service for our members not make a profit.

At the end of May with the assistance of Mark Schaffer, Special Concerts presented, Za Zu Zaz. This is the first event produced by Special Concerts that sold out in advance of the concert. This event was spectacular. The FP profit after all expenses will be over $600.

Upcoming on August 12th, Special Concerts will present Aztec Two-Step in a 40th Anniversary Concert as a Special Concert at The Minstrel.

Tickets are currently on sale both online and at The Minstrel.
