Swingin' Tern Report

The year ended with a wonderful NYE dance, followed two days later by another wonderful Anniversary Dance on January 2. The new hall looks great when decked with holiday lights, balloons and crepe paper! See the attached photo. The two regular dances in December were troubled by weather. A major nor'easter on December 5 severely dampened attendance, and the December 19 dance was canceled due to the significant snowstorm. Otherwise, 2009 was a good year, with attendance slightly up over 2008 and finances greatly improved (from a deficit of $1800 in 2008 to a net surplus of over $500 in 2009) due in large part to the move to East Hanover. We look forward to the Special Projects Tern Swings Dance on January 30 and encourage everyone to attend to dance or watch.
