The Swingin' Tern report for April 7:
On March 7, Swingin' Tern had its first double (afternoon/evening) dance of the year. Last year Suzanne Patnaude (ST's booker emeritus) signed Bob Isaacs to call to The Free Raisins for this dance, and both halves of the dance were loved by the attendees. No surprise--Bob and The Free Raisins are among the top contra performers on the east coast.
On March 21, Barbara Goldstein called to Dr. Twamley's Audio Snakes, a Swingin' Tern favorite. This dance was also a financial success, and many newcomers attended.
For the month, the dances were $850 to the plus side, out of which $50 was spent on printing and mailing expenses.
