Treasurer
So as of today, we have roughly $2,800 in the checking account, another $27,600 in the Money Market and the usual $230 in petty cash. A P&L report is attached, showing the breakdown by department.
The sharp-eyed among you might notice that the title has changed, since it no longer says "Excluding Minstrel Grant." Since the grant money came in last year, the date filter is taking care of the job.
You might notice the negative $254 under insurance. That's a rebate from our Worker's Comp policy. We pay up front in December for 12 months of coverage, and then the following December have to report on what we actually paid people. Liberty Mutual then adjust the charges, and this year that led to a rebate of about 10%. Sometimes it leads to an additional bill.
Between the quarterly ASCAP/BMI royalty paperwork and the annual 1099 paperwork, this has been a very busy month in Treasurerland. I had intended to do some year-in-review analysis of 2015, but I'm not sure I'll get to it by the meeting. If not, perhaps in March.
Finally, the Treasurer is a term-limited position. So someone else will be sending this report next year. Why not you? If you're interested in hearing about what's involved, and possibly interested in taking on this job, let me know. I'd be happy to walk you through the basics. I sort of like it myself.
Most of the time, anyway.
