I usually send my report out the Sunday before the board meeting, but this is an usual month. Before I can wrap up February, I need to resolve an anomaly with a Getaway deposit and sort out another anomaly related to a Minstrel deposit that's out of sync between Wells Fargo and QuickBooks.
I also need to do the PayPal Sweep and reconcile the QuickBooks records with the bank accounts, and neither of those can be done until Tuesday. So this month, I can't really issue the February report until after the meeting.
However, everything is under control. We have roughly $13,800 in checking, a sign of the Getaway money that's started to come in, and another $22,600 in the money market account. We've sent MUF the first $5,000 of the $10,000 grant we received for MUF enhancements in 2015. No comments from the performers who got 1099s for last year's work, so I will submit them to the IRS tomorrow.
Addendum:
The only thing I'd add to my written non-report is that I think it's time to promote Event Hosting to department level. Lori pointed out that this activity should be charged with a G&A allocation as well, and as you'll see in my report later this week, the only way I can make that happen is to treat Event Hosting as a department, rather than a class inside the department called "FP General." It's an easy change, and I think the new reports will be useful and informative.
