SWINGIN' TERN

The Swingin Tern Committee Report for March 4:

On February 1 Swingin' Tern danced to Blue Jersey and Peter Stix, who as always delighted ST's dancers. On the strength of contributions by Joel Remde and Barbara Hall to celebrate their birthdays, the dance was notonly well attended but a financial success.

On February 15 twenty-four dancers drove through the snow to a memorable dance. Swingin Tern's own Barbara Goldstein called to Off 'n Ensemble, who came up from Philadelphia. The small crowd made the atmosphere intimate and festive. The performers were good humored about the attendance, which was due to the previous Thursday's storm and the lure to many dancers of The Dance Flurry in Saratoga.

For the month, the dances were $250 in the red.

Coming up: On April 5 Swingin' Tern will host the Brooklyn Swing Ensemble and Bob Isaacs for an afternoon experienced dance and an evening general dance. A year ago ST's first such double dance was the year's most successful event. In light of that, Suzanne has booked April 5's double dance and others later this year.
