I. Awards night big success
A. Award and Certificate will be available for ogling at the Board meeting.
B. Need permanent place for storage/display
1. One possibility would be at MUF
a) Not in existing storage boxes - no room, and dangerous!!
b) Would need some sort of permanent display shelf/box etc.
c) If this seems good, our MUF liaisons could explore this with MUF
d) Other ideas?
II. Key Dates In Back Office Calendar
A. GuideStar Update
1. Def: GuideStar is a major national clearing house for non-profit
information and research. GuideStar claims seven million annual
visitors @ +/- 22,000 daily visitors.
2. Benefit of complete update would be additional exposure to this demographic
3. Update listed as Responsibility of Prez
4. Looked into it online - is doable within 5 - 10 hours work
5. Will use info template created by Chris created back in ’06
6. With Board’s direction, I’ll begin update and give progress report at
May BoD meeting.
B. No other key dates in F.P. calendar.
III. Upcoming Issues
A. The motion made by Barrett Wilson concerning disposition of the
anonymous 10K grant that was proposed and then tabled at the
March BoD meeting will again be tabled until the May meeting.
B. Meeting and working with MUF on both disposition of 10K Grant, and
future rent increases, etc.
C. Finding the right balance at the Board level of maintaining the
established F.P. “machinery” (independence of Chair positions, who
does what, how we do what we do, etc.) but also at the same time
actively supporting and encouraging innovation, risk taking, outside
the box thinking, etc.
