Report From “The Chair” – Paul Fisher
This month's report will be fairly light as most of us were at Falcon Ridge.
Our publicity for the 40th Anniversary helped us get a lot of good press, both for the Paxton concert
and the Folk Project itself.
Bill Nutt did a long article with pictures based on an interview with Mike Agranoff covered a lot of
history and got printed in the Record and Courier papers. He also did a write-up of the Birthday
Show in that week's TGIF section. Mike did an interview with WNTI. Morristown Green gave lots
of coverage on the 40 years and on the Birthday Show, including a video of “Barrett's Volunteers”.
Some publicity has gone out for Uke NJ 3. I was hoping we could do more but this has been a busy
couple of months.
We want to request that anyone who has a local music store they frequent (or at least know about) to
please try to get some Uke NJ 3 flyers to them. If they sell ukes, they will probably take some.
(Scooter, please bring some flyers!).
Publicity is still seeking a new member to replace Cathy Ballard. The workload is not heavy and
usually only comes once per month around the 10th. If anyone knows of a good candidate, please
contact publicitychair@folkproject.org and Nancy and I will contact them.
