We taped two fine shows in April:
540) 4/24/12 Honor Finnegan – “the Susan Boyle of quirky indie folk, only hotter.” Her songs are humorous then heartbreaking with melodies that soar. Based in New York City, she has been making a splash in the northeastern regional folk scene with her original songs and ukulele playing combining elements of musical theatre, comedy, traditional folk, and poetryhttp://honorfinnegan.com
541) 4/24/12 Strike the Bell – Stuart Markus & Judith Zweiman, Artists in Residence at the Long Island Maritime Museum, perform traditional maritime music of North America & the British Isles www.StriketheBell.com
The Folk Goddesses were scheduled to tape in the later slot, but Hillary Foxsong called the day of the taping to say she had laryngitis and had to reschedule. Sandie took the bull by the horns, calling up Stuart Markus who agreed to come on last minute notice with another member of The Folk Goddesses for their duo, Strike the Bell. We will reschedule The Folk Goddesses sometime in the coming months.
We have a good line-up for the upcoming tapings; Bob McNally, who was scheduled for a 5/29 taping was good enough to postpone to let us give Scott Alarik the slot while he is in the area. We'll try to reschedule Bob for July or August:
