The April Evening of Music was at Mark and Robin Schaffer's house in Rockaway. It was a great evening with nice attendance.
April also saw the Farewell Bonus Evening of Music at the Roffmans' place in Randolph ... yet another in a series of wonderful musical evenings at
11 Butternut. Lots of folks came out to play and thank the Roffmans for their hospitality over the years. Eddie shared his reflections on the gatherings and told everyone how he feels hosting them was a means of "paying it forward" - remembering those who brought him much joy through music many years ago.
The May Evening of Music will be held at the Highland Park home of Amy Livingston and Brian Hudson.
The June Evening of Music will be held at Mario's Pizza in Randolph hosted by Mike and Christine Del Vecchio. There are two separated and weather-proof jam areas available (one away from the food area).
Arrangements have been made with the restaurant to close the main dining room for our gathering and I have been reassured by the owner that we will be able to stay until at least 1:00 AM despite their usual midnight closing. The restaurant is not charging rent to the Folk Project for this event and they will permit the typical pot luck arrangement. However in an effort to support an ongoing relationship, the newsletter announcement will encourage members to arrive earlier than the 8:00 start time to have dinner.
Best,
