Sort of a strange month. Jeremy Kittel, an Agranoff Imperative had to cancel almost literally at the last minute. A bout of tendonitis left him unable to play the fiddle, and he called to cancel on the morning of his performance. The openers, Nate & Kate filled in for the feature act. I certainly hope the emergency Minstrel-Gram and Website notification were effective, because the attendance was only 32 paid for the evening. Attendance was also lackluster for the following show. Chart with details attached.
We have been using the Terrace Room in the past on an informal basis for food service. It's not in our contract, and MUF would like us to stop doing that, as they will be scheduling other activities in that room from time to time. If we want to use it for nights when we expect a large crowd, we can do so on an "as available" basis for an extra $50 rent. We will try setting up food in the lobby and performers' sales in the dining room.
We will be closed this Friday for Festival.
This month's highlight will be (I hope) the Mike Agranoff CD Release Concert on the 26th.
Big doings next month with a Phil Ochs Song Night on the 16th and 4 FP Divas on the 23rd.
I booked Jean Ritchie for December 28.
