Subject: HSNOI Report

Lori Lieberman had to back out of her taping scheduled for 5/25 about 3 weeks prior to the date. I then booked a local songwriter-led group, Caren Kennedy Bandnto fill the spot. Then with 1 week lead-time Blue Moose & the Unbuttoned Zippers contacted me saying that they had that night free and couldd I fit them in? Caren Kennedy graciously agreed to postpone her taping to August.

We thought we were short on volunteers, but things worked out OK. Bob, our regular director had to bow out a few days before the taping , but Alice Weimer volunteered after that for the first time in many months (because the Census scared off her Tues. night ESL students) and I had taken note of her fine directorial skills the first time she was drafted for the position last year. Sandie's sound tech skills were needed for the Zippers show and she brought her son, Matt, to do camera when Larry Flanagan got sick and had to cancel the morning of the taping. Tommy Mahoney showed up with a friend, who was drafted and camera-trained on the spot by John Eisler, the Cablevision tech and new Public Access Coordinator.

We taped two these two great shows:

490) 5/25/10 Richard Stillman – Actor, Singer, Musician, Tap Dancer, Storyteller performing original neo-vaudeville schtick; including a show-stopper – tap-dancing, playing bones, harmonica & juggling simultaneously RichardStillman.com

491) 5/25/10 Blue Moose and the Unbuttoned Zippers – quartet featuring original & trad. w/ nickelharpe, hardanger fiddle, 5-string fiddle, snappy guitar, 4 vocals www.bmuz.net www.myspace.com/unbuttonedzippers
