On Mon 7/13, we were scheduled to tape a show with Harpeth Rising. The trio and all the volunteers showed up, but the Cablevision tech didn't because he had to take his wife to the emergency room and in all the excitement he neglected to let me know. They were very apologetic.
On Wed 7/22, we taped two shows:
623) 7/13/15 6:30 Harpeth Rising - Folk Trio from Louisville, KY; Jordana Greenberg (violin), Rebecca Reed-Lunn (banjo) & Maria Di Meglio (viola) sing 3-part harmonies and fuse Folk, Newgrass, Rock and Classical; they met at Indiana University Jacobs School of Music where they all earned performance degrees www.harpethrising.com
624) 7/22/15 6:30 Robinson Treacher - Chameleon-like in his approach to his songwriting, he refuses to be pigeonholed into one particular genre, believing that each song is forged from its own unique terrain; Admittedly susceptible to the affectations of the senses himself, he asks his audience to participate emotionally as well as physically in a “whole self” conceptual challenge, a 360 degree soul search comprised of the most joyous elation to the bitterest of pains. http://robinsontreacher.com
625) 7/22/15 8:00 Mark Allen Berube - Far more entertaining than any single human being with an acoustic guitar is allowed to be under current law, Mark is a performer who refuses to be anyone’s background music. His punchy, well-crafted songs and rapid-fire delivery allow audiences little time to indulge in the laughter he frequently provokes without feeling like they’ve missed something. http://www.markallenberube.com
No shows are scheduled for August. We had put a hold on the date Thursday 8/13 with a possibility of 8/20. Josh Joffen had indicated his availability and interest in coming to tape a show on a Thursday evening in mid-August, but he stopped replying to my emails when I asked him to confirm the date - very frustrating! And I had planned on booking Bill Hall's re-taping for the same night; Bill had said he would be available after 8/12, but when I could not confirm the date with Josh I delayed getting back in touch with Bill and that fell through as well. I just rec'd an email from Josh saying he's sorry, but things got overwhelming for hand can he reschedule in Oct?
