New Jersey Uke Fest - Report to the Board - 2019, June

New Jersey Uke Fest 2019

Dates: Friday August 23 thru Sunday August 25, 2019

Location: Ukrainian American Cultural Center of New Jersey and the Morristown Green

The NJUF committee currently is comprised of: Pam Robinson, Bob Safranek, FiL Wisneski, Diane Naar, Helen Jacobson, Judy Storey, Mihal Gross, Yolanda Fundora

We are offering full fest tickets in exchange for 6 hours of volunteer time to those who need financial assistance in order to attend the NJUF.

Early Bird tickets went on sale a month early, on May 1st and will be available til the end of June. Sales have been coming in.

NJUF merchandise is now available on Cafe Press.

The NJUF committee had a discussion regarding Silent Auction bidding policy. The majority of the committee felt that bidders needed to at minumum be in attendance at the Saturday Concert. (If non-attendee bidders want to make private arrangements with attendees, we will not

interfere.)

The Workshop schedule is almost complete. My plan is to release info about the workhsops on July 1. It is looking like a really nice set of classes. I have also received correspondence from folks who would like to teach workshops in the future.

We have been working with the UACCNJ’s new head chef, to bring improvements to our meal situations. As a result the lunch will be a sit down lunch served family style (with the help of a 1/2 dozen volunteers). Dinners will remain buffets, but will have volunteer servers in order to insure that everyone gets food in a timely manner.

We have received 2 memberships.

We have also received $190 in donations to the NJUF (which is greatly

appreciated)
