New Jersey Uke Fest 2019
Dates: Friday August 23 thru Sunday August 25, 2019
Location: Ukrainian American Cultural Center of New Jersey and the Morristown Green
The NJUF committee currently is comprised of: Pam Robinson, Bob Safranek, FiL Wisneski, Diane Naar, Helen Jacobson, Judy Storey, Mihal Gross, Yolanda Fundora
Meals for the performer, staff and attendees have been worked out with the venue.
We have added a 7th instructor.
Publicity for the event is underway, please help by posting a flyer or two.
In April, the NJUF was a sponsor (info support only - beyond the donation of a full fest ticket) to the Ukulele Kids Club benefit event on the 28th in NYC. The UKC raised over $1,000.00 for their cause. Info about the NJUF was spread far and wide at the event, and we may see some new attendees as a result.
We are offering full fest tickets in exchange for 6 hours of volunteer time to those who need financial assistance in order to attend the NJUF.
“Fools For Ukes” (April 1-2) generated our largest turnout for tickets sales in the 3 years we have been offering them with 18 of the available 20 tickets sold.
Early Bird tickets went on sale a month early, on May 1st. Sales have been coming in.
NJUF merchandise is now available on Cafe Press.
