Subject: Swingin' Tern December report
The Swingin' Tern report for December 2018:
We had three wonderful dances last month, or even four, if the double dance counts double.
The double dance happened on December 1, when Will Mentor called to Pete's Posse. Attendees experienced dancing to a great caller and band, who all came down from Vermont.
December 15 was our annual holiday dance. Donna Hunt called to Peter, Paul, Ed, Garry. The performers are all well known to Tern dancers and as usual, they were excellent. The between-halves break was shortened, and the dance was ended at 10:30, so dancers could enjoy Doug and Brian's annual after-dance party.
On New Year's Eve, Bob Isaacs called to the Organic Family Band. Bob is a home-grown caller who is one of the top callers in the East. The Organic Family Band is also one of the most popular in the region. They came up from Maryland to perform at ST.
We lost $350 for the month, which is actually better than for recent Decembers.
Many excellent dances are planned for this year. A particularly special one will be on March 2, when we'll have a free double dance sponsored by Doug Heacock and Brian Buckley.
