Subject: F P Newsletter Report for the August 2010 Board Meeting
Hi All,
I want to thank everyone for getting the submissions in to Liz on time as you all did this month. I appreciate the hard work, co-operation and teamwork that you have all put forth for the good of our Folk Project. And I especially appreciate Liz for all her hard work and dedication. I know, next month everyone will continue to expend their energies in an effort to get everything to Liz on time, and I thank you all in advance for that. I also want to thank Joann Cronin, for again filling in for Joe Petraitis, who for the last so many months has been helping me prepare the newsletters for mailing, and who this month, last Friday, gave away his lovely daughter in marriage. We mailed out 296 newsletters this month, five less than the previous month. I had 400 copies printed up. I will be bringing a supply to the meeting tonight and to the Minstrel on Friday. I also had 1000 Minstrel free admission cards for first timers printed up which I will bestow on whoever must get them tonight.
We did well for printing costs this month, considering we had the extra Festival Flier page, and the 1000 cards. We got 20% off plus I used the coupons from this month's awards and a $50.00 coupon I got in the mail . This lowered the printing cost from $432.99 to $207.92 for a savings of $225.07. That's not such a bad savings for the printing. It was a bit more expensive, but a bigger savings than last month for more work. The postage costs came to $132.00 for 300 Stamps. I'll see you all this evening at Chris's house.
