Getaway Report
The Getaway full weekend and Saturday-only passes are sold out.
We have room for more guests on Sunday.
The Getaway workshop schedule looks great, maybe our best, believe it or not.
We added Toby Walker to lead two finger-picking guitar workshops.
We added a three-part vocal improvement track.
We kept the three-part songwriting track.
If we can grow a songwriters element within the Getaway community,
everybody wins.
The volunteer response continues to be extremely strong.
Key positions have been replaced and added.
Thanks to John Mahon for stepping up for Mike D.
House Concerts - Addendum to Special Concerts Committee
Book Binder was a wonderful success.
Great show, full house, ran smooth, great staff.
$920 went to Roy for admissions.
I estimate an additional $700 to $800 in merchandise,
maybe more.
Roy said it was "the best concert on my tour,"
which I took to mean the most profitable,
but it could be the nicest audience and hosts.
About half were new to the Project.
Concert Chair Pam requested $16 for the Project to cover projected expenses.
Expenses came to zero dollars, and we returned $20 to the Project.
Frank Caprio, our local contact with Roy, rented some chairs.
Rob and I paid for starter drinks.
The after-concert dinner and jam went to 10:30.
The music and community was especially warm and wonderful.
We’re revving up for the Lil Rev house concert and workshop
on Saturday, November 19th, 2016.
The push for Rev was not to come until after Roy.
We sold six tickets to Rev's at Roy’s.
