Subject: Treasurer's (Very Late) Report
Greetings, folks –
This is almost two weeks later than it was supposed to be, so late that I was considering just skipping a month and picking up in October. But after thinking it over, I decided not to leave a gap in the record. As of September 30, we had about $11,000 in checking, $62,000 in the Money Market, $250 in Petty Cash (reduced a bit, since Swingin’ Tern decided to decrease the amount held in its cash box) and $445 in advance Troubadour sales at PayPal. The Vanguard account stands at $142,250, up by almost $13,400 since January.
We’re not quite that flush, because the above numbers include most of the income for Getaway, but don’t yet include the cost of the venue. However, the wolf is very far from the door.
Careful readers might wonder why we have such a big Admissions number (and a Performer Fee number) under FP General, and that can be attributed to our support of the FMS June Days event. It was a wash for The Folk Project financially (no cash impact), but the numbers have to go somewhere.
I assume the Getaway will have a complete accounting of its expense by month’s end, so the October report will give us a more accurate picture. Let me know if you have questions.
Regards,
Chris

Greetings, folks –
I’m almost ready to distribute the Q3 report.
With Mike’s able support we’ve got the ASCAP and BMI payments covered, and with Gary’s help the PayPal data has been loaded. I have the Q3 Vanguard report in hand, but I want to consult with Andy Koenig on the best way to modify his original spreadsheet.
That sheet determines both how the account’s value is allocated to the two subaccounts (Getaway portion and General portion) and calculates the amount of the subsidy for the 2019 Getaways. And it needs to be re-jiggered to change the allocation algorithm from 1.5% to 3.0%, as approved by the Board.
He’s away until next week, so look for the final report about a week from now.

Chris

Greetings, folks –
Since the meeting falls on the first of the month, I won’t have my usual report ahead of time. So you can expect something from me later next week. Everything’s under control.
