Folk Project Archives Committee Report

Documenting our Place in NJ History

November 2019

Following a hiatus due to my health and a closure of the Rutgers archives for renovation, the committee has resumed its work.

We are currently surveying the existing Rutgers collection to determine what is missing so that we can request specific items from the board and members. The collection was donated in 2005, so any items from the past 14 years are welcome.

PLEASE HELP: Do you have any of these materials? Would you consider donating them?

These are examples. If you have other materials or questions, please contact me.

  • Board minutes prior to 2006 (subsequent minutes are on our wiki)

  • Newsletters

  • Financial papers

  • Venue and event documents

  • Bylaws : Documents and emails relevant to the 2016 - 2017 changes

  • Written history (history by Laurie Riley, Mike A., et al, is already in the collection)

  • Printed emails related to policy and event development. Example: the Friday concert series name changes

  • Photographs

  • News articles

  • Posters
