Newsletter Report
I regret I will be unable to attend the meeting tonight as I have a rehearsal for a show I'm doing in Staten Island with a large group and I must attend.
I want to thank everyone for getting the submissions in to Liz on time this month. I appreciate the hard work, co-operation and teamwork that you have all put forth for the good of our Folk Project. And I especially appreciate Liz for all her hard work and dedication. I also want to thank Joe Petraitis, who for the last four months has been helping me prepare the newsletters for mailing. We mailed out 307 newsletters this month, two more than the previous month. I had 400 copies printed up. I gave 20 copies to Scooter on Friday for the meeting, and I will be bringing a supply for the to the Valentines show at the Minstrel next Friday.
Our postage costs this month were $132.00. We did well for printing costs this month. We got 20% off plus an awards discount and I used additional coupons I had collected. This lowered the printing cost from $308.00 to $122.40. That's a decent savings; however, on last month's report I did note a huge discount, and we have been doing very well in that regard lately. The discounts used does count against the awards issued in the following months, so I won't be getting an awards discount next month beyond the 20% and whatever coupons I can dig up.
Thanks to all of you,
Carl
