Swingin' Tern Report

Swingin' Tern Report

  1. We had good dances in June and on July 2, all coming out in the black. The July 2 dance in particular was well attended with 82 people, drawing dancers from New York and Bethlehem due to summer schedules. We had three lines for much of the night, and two solid lines to the closing. The June dances had 70 or more people.

  2. We have the Tern Swings dance coming up on July 30, featuring large swing band Reeds, Rhythm & All That Brass. We hope all will join us.

  3. We have a committee meeting scheduled on July 16 at 5:30pm before the dance. One of the topics will be the transfer of leadership on the committee. I will be stepping down as committee chair.

  4. I will miss the meeting this month, and will likely miss meetings in coming months, due to a major new project at my company that will require me to spend much of my time in Washington, DC. The project is exciting and Washington is my hometown, so this is not a hardship assignment. I do expect to be in NJ on weekends and will plan to attend dances, festivals and the occasional Minstrel.
