Subject: Treasurer's Real Report
Greetings, folks -
Since it's the end of Q1, I'm sending a Balance Sheet as well as a P&L report. And I would say that we're having an outstanding year.
Comments on the Balance Sheet first:
The first section shows our current assets, which you can think of as ready money: things that could be turned to cash in short order. That's almost $63,000, which as an old-timer I find almost unimaginable. Accounts Receivable is next: things for which we've billed but have not been paid. That's higher than you'd expect because I date the PayPal sweep for the last day of the month, but the money won't hit the bank for a few days.
The Vanguard account did very well this quarter, increasing in value by about $10,000. The Prepaid Expenses include Getaway-related deposits and are considered an asset until the event. At that time, this number will turn into a mix of Rent and Performer Fees.
And then the P&L:
Every department is comfortably in the black, and I assume the expense categories tell the story without further elaboration. If you're curious about any of them, just ask. Or even better, let me set you up with a QuickBooks log-in so you can drill down and see the details for yourself! It's perfectly safe.
And remember that the clock is ticking for my time in this job. I'm term limited at the end of the year, so someone needs to step up and take over. If you think that might be you, give me a shout and I'd be happy to chat.
Regards,
Chris

Subject: Treasurer's Un-Report
Greetings, folks -
When the Board meeting falls this early in the month (particularly at the end of a quarter), it's very hard to get a full report completed in advance. So I'll have something to distribute in a day or two, but not by this evening.
Everything is under control, and all is right with the world. Well. Maybe not that last part.
Regards,
Chris
