I am forwarding Pam Robinson's most excellent report re: her very successful venture into Meet Me in Morristown. A huge thank you to Pam for handling this. I cannot think the night before Getaway, let alone try to do something else.
A big thank you to all the Folk Project people who stopped by and who played. I'll be sending out a request for June Folkies soon.
A get well card was sent to Will Miles, who was hit by a car while on his bicycle. To the best of my knowledge he is still in Atlantic Rehab Institute in Morristown.
Russ Kelner played for Memory Café on May, and Michael Mitch is planning to do his first time solo for Memory Café in June.

Meet Me In Morristown – by Pam Robinson
On Thursday evening May 26th, 11 folks stepped forward to represent The Folk Project at the first Meet Me In Morristown for 2016 sponsored by Morris Arts.
The Morris Arts folk put our booth right next to The Committed Pig a restaurant across the street from the Green.
We provided live acoustic music from the start of the event at 5PM til it ended at 9PM. Several FP members came by to say hello. A few passersby, stopped to chat and get more info about The Folk Project or New Jersey Uke Fest. One young man even took up Mike A.’s guitar and played a song or two.
We handed out severaal hundred flyers for Minstrel, Swingin’ Tern, Muriel Anderson, and NJ Uke Fest. Many folks were seen reading the handouts as they walked away. Someone even came back for more flyers as she had given hers to a friend.
One gentleman came up and chatted about an event he is putting together in Morristown and he would like us to consider having a booth there. I gave him my card and asked him to contact me. He knew about The Folk Project and thought that our activities would be a good fit with the folk who attend his event. (the event is in September)
Overall I think the $25 investment in this event was very successful for The Folk Project and Pat Brangs has indicated that she would be willing to organized the June Meet Me In Morristown on 6/28/16.
I would like to shout out a Thank You to the following folks who made this event so grand: Bob Safranek (my chauffeur and sherpa); Mike A., Jay Wilensky, Mark Westphal, Gerry & Olga, David, Kevin and the Morristown Uke Jam Ladies.
