Report From “The Chair” – Paul Fisher
Another month with no time to breathe!
We will be adding the Morristown Patch site to as soon as we get a volunteer to take care of it.
Morristown Green did a great article on John Gorka and posted a video of Eclectic Consort.
Thanks to all of you that make this happen every month!
Webmaster Report – John Lamb
All in all, a fairly slow month for the web team with two or three of us out of town for at least part of the month.
Charles updated the Getaway pages in time for the start of registration. We had a few alerts to deal with, involving time changes and a cancellation for Minstrel. Most of them were handled directly by Mike Agranoff using the text editor tool intended for that very purpose. Other than that, we cleaned up a couple of typos and performed routine maintenance on the email system.
Stats from Google AdWords and Analytics for the calendar month of July:
User sessions - 3075 for an average of 99.2 per day representing a 7% increase over last month. Fewest (51) on July 30, most (260) on July 15 (the night of the cancelled show, resulting from an email blast asking recipients to check the website for show status).
Total number of unique Users - 2066, a 6% increase over last month. Returning users accounted for 45.1% of all sessions.
Total page views - 6766, down 3% over last month, for an average of 2.2 pages per session
Average session duration - 1 minute 47 seconds. This is down by 14% over last month.
Google AdWords traffic accounted for 179 sessions, or 5.8% of the total.
Notable numbers of references to us from other sites included njbluegrass.org (35 sessions), visitnj.org (23) and newjerseybluegrass.org (20).
We reached users in 42 countries on 6 continents.
Our most frequently visited pages are the home page (1916 pageviews), the Minstrel calendar page (1360) and the Getaway main page (518). The following also got at least 100 page views for the month: the Swingin' Tern page. the newsletter download page, and the Special Concerts page.
As always, many thanks to Charles, Allan, Lori and FiL for the work they do. Keep those inquiries and suggestions coming to webmaster@folkproject.org.
