Minstrel Booking

A disappointing month, considering the lineup. We only averaged 68 paid for the 2 regular shows. We lost $213 on the month.

We will definitely need to raise our admission to cover the rent increase. Admission will be going up to $8.00 as of January 1.

Our sound board failed on October 26. It's probably around 15 years old. Mike Del Vecchio took it to be repaired, and those repairs have been delayed due to the shop's being still closed as a result of Hurricane Sandy. Initial indications are that it is repairable.

The Birthday show in 2013 will be moved one week earlier than in past years to July 26 (one day after the true anniversary). This is to avoid conflict with the Falcon Ridge Folk Festival, which has been moved to the later date.

In order to encourage more "bi-folkal" attendance, Minstrel and Swingn' Tern will present announcements of each other's events by representatives of the other Committee to enhance awareness of the other activity's clientele. We feel that the other event can be better explained and introduced by someone who actually participates in that other event.

I've done a lot of booking this past month. (Actually 6 weeks due to the late meeting in November.)
