Hi All,
There has been activity in July with requests for performers. I have received the following requests, and I have been reaching out to performers for each:
Friends of Great Swamp National Wildlife Refuge, a non-profit, educational organization in Morris County. We sponsor a Fall Festival, Sat. Sept. 8 and hopefully would like to have a local group provide some country or folk music at this event. Admission is free, lunch is free and attendance is about 500 - 600 mainly family groups over some 4 -5 hours. My phone is 908-232-2921.
And,
I am a member of the Morristown Unitarian Fellowship, as well as the Folk Project. We are trying to put together a small music concert for August 26th to benefit the Fellowship. We did this last year with our in-house folk/rock group, The Flaming Chalices. Unfortunately, only two of the FCs, myself and our drummer (Jim Harp), are available for the 24th. We are looking for two or three other guitar players, including a bass player, to play and sign with us. Mark also might join us on fiddle. The music will range from soft rock and folk to some rock standards later in the evening that people can dance to. Since this is a benefit, we can't really pay any honorariums, but we can provide dinner and drinks. Unfortunately, we need to pull this together quickly to have time to get the announcement into the Fellowship newsletter. Best regards, Steven Humphreys
I also received a request for a guitar teacher and I sent her a recommendation.
Sincerely,
Joe Graziano
