I want to thank everyone for getting the submissions in to Liz on time as you all did this month. I appreciate the hard work, co-operation and teamwork that you have all put forth for the good of our Folk Project. And I especially appreciate Liz for all her hard work and dedication. I know, everyone will continue to expend their energies in an effort to get everything to Liz on time, and I thank you all in advance for that. This Month, I had 400 copies of the newsletter printed up.They were ready for pickup on Friday the 29th. We mailed out 295 newsletters on Saturday the 30th, including ten I sent to Rick for new membership. I also dropped off 60 copies at the Minstrel on Friday evening the 29th and will bring some to the meeting tonight.
We did ok for printing costs this month, but not as well as last month. Using reward coupons from this month and the 20% discount, we were able to lower the printing costs from $366.00 to $285.95 for a savings of $80.05. We also needed to buy more address labels for a cost of $50.98. The postage costs came to $132.00 for 300 Stamps plus an additional $8.48 for additional postage to send the packages to Membership and Morris County Council of the Arts. It was cheaper to get the envelope and measure the postage at the Post Office than to put the usual 7 stamps on each package. So our newsletter costs this month were $336.93 from Staples and $140.48 from the Post Office for a total of $477.41 which is my out of pocket cost for which I need to be reimbursed.
