The publicity committee recuperated from August’s Uke Fest and went back to the usual routine in September. Thank you, everyone!
Worked with the webmaster at BOTMA (Bluegrass and Old Time Music Assoc.) to put a link to Festival on their website. There is already a link to the Folk Project website. At BOTMA’s request, I asked John Lamb to add a link to the BOTMA website our website and it was.
By contacting the newsletter editor at Bucks County Folk Song Society, I was able to finally connect with their webmaster to ask him to fix the link to Swingin’ Tern on their website. (There is already a link to the Folk Project website.) Am now waiting for it to be fixed. Will let you know if this happens.
The Rory Block Minstrel concert and the Fall Festival were listed on the events calendar of NJ Skylands Visitor Magazine website. (This was the first time they listed a Minstrel concert in a long time.)
Bill Nutt of the Daily Record said he wants to interview Buskin and Batteau. Gave him the contact info for their publicist.
Updated our boilerplate listings for Minstrel and Swingin’ Tern on the NJ Travel website through Dec. 2014. www.visitnj.org
Had authorized some free Minstrel passes for various radio stations over the summer. The last of the free passes were used at the Rory Block concert.
Walked around some of Morristown Festival on the Green on Sept. 29. Talked to some of our contacts at the tourism bureau, library, and MUF. The MUF people couldn’t say enough good things about the Folk Project.
