Prez Report 1505
I. 10K Grant
A. Work continues on defining the parameters of grant disbursement
1. Lachowicz, Agranoff & Wilson met and made progress on a consensus of stating specific parameters under which this grant will be spent.
2. One more meeting (May / June) will be needed to finish this phase
B. Final motion to Board of Directors on same will be made once item A above is complete
II. Grant Opportunities
A. I will be attending a grant workshop hosted by Morris Arts (the same Morris Arts that last March awarded the Folk Project the Morris County Outstanding Arts Organization of the Year award ). This workshop will happen on Tuesday, May 12, in Morristown, 5:30 to 7 PM. Should be a hoot…! Any and all F.P. Board members are welcome to join me. I have invited Stephanie - our new Grant writer helper person, sent to us via Mark Schaffer, to join me if she’s available that evening. The session is free but registration is required at www.morrisarts.org
III. I will be out of state during our next Board of Directors meeting - Tuesday, June 2, 2015. We will be meeting at the home of Jay Wilensky and Marie Trontell in Whitehouse Station. I will do all the pre-meeting prep work (Call For Agenda Items, Agenda email, host confirmation, etc.). Vice President Elizabeth L. will take the gavel for this meeting.
IV. I’d like to ask all our Board members to take the time to read fellow Board member Joanne Cronin’s “Meet the Board” interview in our latest Folk Project newsletter. I think you’ll agree with me that Joanne has done an excellent job of describing herself and her Board involvement in a way that is engaging, descriptive and accessible, all at the same time. What a great way to launch our new “occasional” Meet the Board newsletter column - Joanne - thank you!
Respectfully Submitted
