We taped 2 good shows in June:
622) 6/22/15 6:30 Lea - authentic, uplifting, thought- provoking and positive music. Her sound seamlessly blends gospel, jazz, country and R&B into her own style - SoulFolk - and draws comparisons to Tracy Chapman’s earthy folk, Joni Mitchell’s exquisite songcraft, and Ani DiFranco’s inventive guitar playing and dynamic delivery. www.thisislea.com
623) 6/22/15 8:00 Rich Siegel - Pianist, Vocalist, Musical Director, Bandleader, Songwriter www.RichSiegel.com
Unfortunately, one of the shows we taped in May turned out to be on a defective tape. The sound faded in and out almost from the beginning of the show and got worse as the taping progressed so we are planning to reschedule the guest as soon as possible. The guest is Bill Hall w/ Scott Nelson – charming barefooted Kerrville New Folk Songwriting Winner last visited the show August 1996 http://www.williamjhall.com
Upcoming:
624) 7/22/15 6:30 Robinson Treacher - Chameleon-like in his approach to his songwriting, he refuses to be pigeonholed into one particular genre, believing that each song is forged from its own unique terrain; Admittedly susceptible to the affectations of the senses himself, he asks his audience to participate emotionally as well as physically in a “whole self” conceptual challenge, a 360 degree soul search comprised of the most joyous elation to the bitterest of pains. http://robinsontreacher.com
625) 7/22/15 8:00 Mark Allen Berube - Far more entertaining than any single human being with an acoustic guitar is allowed to be under current law, Mark is a performer who refuses to be anyone’s background music. His punchy, well-crafted songs and rapid-fire delivery allow audiences little time to indulge in the laughter he frequently provokes without feeling like they’ve missed something. http://www.markallenberube.com
Mid to late August:
Josh Joffen (tenative) www.JoshJoffen.com
Bill Hall w/ Scott Nelson (tenative reschedule)
