Happy new year!
Folk Project publicity efforts continue to percolate along. The eight members of the committee cover more than 80 publicity outlets (mostly newspapers, magazines, radio stations and Internet calendars) via paper flyers, emailed information in press release format and other formats, and Internet calendar postings. Many hands make light work, and the bigger job gets done.
One of our challenges involves "accuracy on the other end." For example, we had a few listings in Overlook View Magazine last year and several of them had mistakes in date and/or time. I have been trying to get in touch with someone at the magazine to see if there's anything we can do differently to ensure accuracy.
Also, we had several listings in NJ Monthly magazine last year, but since the new events listing person took over last summer, we have had none. I will see what I can do about that.
Webmaster Report from John Lamb: I am maintaining the existing site and keeping it updated, and Cathy, Rick and Alan are working on the new site. I am feeling quite well, in fact better than I have in months.
Respectfully submitted,
Nancy Kelner
